Former Portsmouth striker Vincent Pericard says that he has "no doubts" over Harry Redknapp's transfer strategy.

Former Portsmouth striker Vincent Pericard has said that he has "no doubts" over Harry Redknapp's transfer strategy.

The Queens Park Rangers manager, who has signed Richard Dunne and Danny Simpson this summer, has insisted that Julio Cesar and Adel Taarabt will only leave the Championship club on permanent deals.

Pericard, who played under Redknapp during his spell at Fratton Park, believes that his former boss will continue to sign the right type of player.

"One thing I am sure about is that Harry Redknapp has conducted due diligence over the players," Pericard told Sky Sports News.

"He knows exactly why he has brought in those players - the general public or the fans might not understand but soon they will see why he has bought those players.

"I have no doubt about his transfer policy or his transfer strategy because he has proven it before with the likes of Teddy Sheringham and Paul Merson where people thought they were finished, but they did the business."

QPR are currently on a pre-season tour of Austria.
