Real Madrid stalwart Luka Modric revealed whether he would be staying with Los Blancos during their Champions League final celebrations on Monday.

Alongside Real teammate Dani Carvajal, the former Tottenham Hotspur man etched his name into the European Cup record books by winning his sixth title on Saturday evening.

As Carlo Ancelotti's men overcame Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the final, Modric won his sixth top-level European title, a feat only Carvajal and Paco Gento have also managed.

The Croatia international made his 46th appearance of the 2023-24 season at Wembley, although he only came on for the last five minutes of the final and has seldom been seen from the start in recent months.

Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing Valencia goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.

The Blues are keen to recruit a new goalkeeper despite signing Robert Sanchez and Djordje Petrovic last summer.

Sanchez began the campaign as Chelsea's number one, but a knee injury presented Petrovic with the chance to impress.

The Serbia international proved to be a consistent performer in his 25 Premier League appearances, helping Chelsea secure Europa League qualification.

Liverpool learn asking price for Brentford star?

Liverpool have reportedly been told they will need to pay £50m to sign Brentford attacker Bryan Mbeumo this summer.

The Reds are looking to bring in reinforcements ahead of Arne Slot's first season in charge of the Merseyside club.

Liverpool are seemingly keen to strengthen their attacking options, especially with uncertainty surrounding Mohamed Salah's long-term future with the club.

The 31-year-old continued to attract interest from the Saudi Pro League, with his current contract set to expire at the end of next season.

Tottenham 'alerted to cut-price deal for 28-year-old striker'

Tottenham Hotspur have supposedly learned that one of their top striker targets could be available for a discount price this summer.

The future of Brentford talisman Ivan Toney has been a topic of much debate for months on end, even when the England international was serving a lengthy suspension for betting offences.

The 28-year-old put himself in the shop window by scoring 20 Premier League goals last season, although his eight-month ban denied him the chance to move up the ladder in 2023.

After returning to action, Toney only managed four goals and two assists in 17 Premier League games in the 2023-24 campaign, but he was lauded for his all-around centre-forward play.

Liverpool 'handed boost' in midfielder chase as rivals put plans on ice

    © Reuters

Liverpool have apparently received a boost in their pursuit of a highly-rated midfield target, as one of his fellow suitors have hit the pause button on their pursuit.

One of Arne Slot's first tasks at Anfield is expected to be the pursuit of a new fulcrum, and Atalanta BC's Teun Koopmeiners could fit the bill to a tee.

The Netherlands international excelled in an advanced role for La Dea in 2023-24, contributing 15 goals and seven assists from 50 games as Gian Piero Gasperini's men won the Europa League.

Koopmeiners completed the full 90 minutes as Atalanta bested hitherto unbeaten Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in the final, and he will be a part of the Netherlands' squad for Euro 2024.

Xavi sacking 'opens door for Joao Felix stay at Barcelona'

Barcelona's Joao Felix celebrates scoring against Atletico Madrid on December 3, 2023
    © Reuters

Barcelona's decision to part ways with head coach Xavi could reportedly benefit Joao Felix's chances of staying with the Catalonian giants for next season.

A comical managerial soap opera ended with Xavi being sacked by Barcelona towards the end of May, a few weeks after he was announced to be staying on as head coach.

The Spaniard had originally told the press in January that he planned to resign at the end of the 2023-24 season amid Barca's struggles, repeatedly insisting that nothing could make him change his mind.

Xavi eventually did have a change of heart after discussions with president Joan Laporta, but he then angered his superior with comments made about Barca's financial difficulties and chances of winning the 2023-24 La Liga title.

Fulham 'preparing summer bid' for 23-year-old Arsenal attacker

    © Reuters

Fulham are reportedly planning to make an early offer for an out-of-favour Arsenal man during the early stages of the summer transfer window.

Due to a combination of injuries and the form of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, Emile Smith Rowe is now little more than a peripheral player for Mikel Arteta.

The Englishman's promotion to a regular first-team player in the second half of the 2020-21 season arguably saved the Gunners' torrid campaign, and he struck 10 Premier League goals in the season that followed.

However, Smith Rowe has since experienced two frustrating years with his boyhood club, registering just two assists in 19 games last season and earning a mere three Premier League starts.

Transfer rumours: Griezmann to the MLS, Summerville to Palace, Worrall to Sheffield United

    © Reuters

Antoine Griezmann is reportedly free to leave Atletico Madrid for just £12.8m this summer, with a number of MLS clubs said to be keeping a close eye on his situation.

The France international was again in strong form for Atletico during the 2023-24 campaign, scoring 24 goals and registering eight assists in 48 appearances in all competitions.

The 33-year-old has another two years left to run on his deal at Wanda Metropolitano, but according to L'Equipe, there is a clause in his contract allowing him to leave for £12.8m in the upcoming market.

Teams from the MLS are said to have registered their interest, with Griezmann previously revealing that he wants to finish his career in North America.

Kylian Mbappe's move to Real Madrid this summer has allegedly been 'signed, sealed and completed', with the European champions set to announce his arrival next week.

The France international will officially become a free agent when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of this month.

Real Madrid have long been considered as the favourites for the World Cup winner despite lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia and suggestions of interest from the Premier League.

Los Blancos have thus far not announced a move for the 25-year-old, as the club had wanted to focus on their Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund.

    © Reuters

Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has insisted that he is not to blame for the club's big-money moves for the likes of Antony and Casemiro during his time at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils have spent in excess of £400m since Ten Hag's arrival as head coach, with Andre Onana, Rasmus Hojlund and Mason Mount also among those to recently move to the club.

Hojlund has had a successful first season in English football, but the deals for Antony, Casemiro, Onana and Mount have been criticised due to their difficulties.

Casemiro enjoyed an impressive 2022-23 campaign after arriving from Real Madrid, but his performances this season have dipped, while Onana has had his struggles and Mount has found it difficult to stay fit.

Tottenham Hotspur continue to be linked with the 24-year-old, but according to The Independent, Villa are also firmly in the race for his signature during the summer market.

Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho on June 1, 2024
    © Reuters

Borussia Dortmund manager Edin Terzic has revealed that no decision has been made on Jadon Sancho's future.

The 24-year-old returned on loan to BVB in January after the breakdown of his relationship with Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag.

Sancho helped the Bundesliga giants reach the Champions League final, and he played 87 minutes of his loan club's 2-0 defeat to Real Madrid in the English capital.

The forward, as it stands, will return to his parent club this summer, but Dortmund are believed to be determined to re-sign him on a permanent basis during the summer market.

Wolves 'hold interest in Primeira Liga full-back'

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Gary O'Neil reacts on February 25, 2024
    © Reuters

Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly assessing whether to make an approach for a defender who is currently plying his trade in Primeira Liga.

The West Midlands outfit are currently preparing for a summer of transition having ended the season in poor form, ultimately dropping down to 14th position in the Premier League standings.

While Gary O'Neil can claim to have enjoyed a respectful first campaign at Molineux, Wolves collected just five points from their final 10 matches.

Although Wolves are in a better position with regards to the Premier League's Profit and Sustainability regulations in comparison to 12 months ago, it may take a major sale to provide O'Neil with the funds that he requires to make major alterations.

    © Reuters

Manchester United head coach Erik ten Hag has revealed that he wants to bring a centre-back, central midfielder and centre-forward to Old Trafford during this summer's transfer window.

The Red Devils posted their worst-ever finish in the Premier League last term, ending the campaign down in eighth, but they have qualified for the 2024-25 Europa League courtesy of their 2-1 victory over Manchester City in the FA Cup final at the end of last month.

There remains huge uncertainty surrounding Ten Hag's future at the helm, with a final decision on the Dutchman allegedly not yet being made.

However, Ten Hag is looking ahead to next season, and the Dutchman has identified three positions that the club need to target if they are to enjoy a more successful 2024-25.
