Granada pick up home point against Malaga in fight for survival

Granada and Malaga are made to settle for a point apiece following a tame goalless draw at Los Carmenes.

Granada have played out a goalless draw at home to Malaga this evening to move one point closer to La Liga survival.

The Nazaries, who are now two points above the drop zone in 17th, were unable to find a way through at Los Carmenes in a flat contest.

Duje Cop had the visiting side's best chance to open the scoring in the first half, but he was unable to find a way past Andres Fernandez from close range.

Some nice play later in the half saw Isaac Success create an opening, with his final effort lacking the conviction required to break the deadlock.

Chances proved just as hard to come by in the second half, though Recio did have an opportunity to score a valuable goal which he struggled to take when firing wide.

That ultimately proved to be it for both sides in a match that saw just three attempts of note, meaning that Granada remain in trouble while Malaga are now unbeaten in five.
