Hannover rock bottom of Bundesliga after Stuttgart loss at HDI Arena

Hannover reside at the bottom of the Bundesliga table following a 3-1 home defeat to Stuttgart, who move up to 15th position thanks to their win at the HDI Arena.

Hannover reside at the bottom of the Bundesliga table following a 3-1 defeat at home to Stuttgart this evening.

Michael Frontzeck's side took the lead against Stuttgart through Kenan Karaman but conceded an equaliser almost immediately.

Christian Gentner was the man who brought Alexander Zorniger's outfit back into the tie as he converted Timo Werner's pass.

Werner, a reported summer transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur, then put Stuttgart in front by firing past Hannover keeper Ron-Robert Zieler.

Alexandru Maxim, on as a substitute, wrapped up all three points for Stuttgart as he scored from Daniel Ginczek's cross with 90 minutes of the tie expired.

Stuttgart move out of the relegation zone into 15th position, while Hannover lie rock bottom as Borussia Monchengladbach recorded their first win of the season to move up to 18th spot in the table.
